A high-level Saudi Arabian Investment and Trade delegation headed by the President of the Federation of Saudi Arabian Chambers of Commerce, comprising 79 investors representing renowned companies and officials from Saudi Arabia’s Chamber of Commerce, arrived in Addis Ababa today.
The delegation was welcomed at Bole International Airport in the presence of Fitsum Assefa, Minister of Planning and Development; Ambassador Nasise Chali, Minister of Tourism, and Ambassador Mesganu Arga, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
During the three-day visit from June 04-06, 2024, the delegation is set to participate in a trade and investment forum. It is expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectorial Association.
The high-profile investors will visit notable sites such as the Eastern Industrial Park, Chaka Project, Alema Koudijits; Animal Feed Producing Complex, Adwa Victory Memorial Museum, and the Abdulhakim Coffee Processing Complex at Kality.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA Ethiopia), the visit intends to foster trade and investment opportunities, diversify economic relationships, and fortify bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia.
