A foundation stone was laid for the establishment of a food processing and manufacturing company at the Bole Lemi Industrial Park, marking an investment of over 1.2 billion birr.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Kamil Ibrahim, Deputy CEO of the Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC), Mr. Alemayhu Seifu, Deputy Head of Corporate Wealth Management at IPDC, and Ms. Bethlehem Tlahun, Managing Director of Perimeter Consulting.
The factory, set to be built by Perimeter Consulting and Trading Company, will specialize in producing various types of export-standard snacks and dry foods derived from the native grain known as ‘teff.’ This project will be undertaken with an investment of more than 1.2 billion birr and will utilize 11 hectares of leased land within the Bole Lemi Industrial Park.
On the occasion of the laying of the foundation stone, Mr. Kamil Ibrahim, Deputy CEO of the Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC), emphasized the corporation’s dedication to providing necessary support and supervision to both local and foreign investors who are willing to invest in industrial parks.
Upon completion of the construction and reaching full production capacity, the factory’s products are expected to be exported to regions such as Europe, America, and the Far East, according to IPDC.
