Wegagen Bank, in collaboration with E-Birr Mobile Financial Services, has introduced a mobile wallet service that enhances financial accessibility by eliminating the need for branch visits, enabling users to open a wallet account, transfer funds, make payments, and manage transactions seamlessly through a mobile app or USSD short code platforms.
The Bank inaugurated the mobile wallet service during the official launching ceremony held in Shire town which was attended by customers and distinguished guests. During the ceremony, DCEO Enterprise Services of Wegagen Bank, Yehwalashet Zewdu, signified that Wegagen E-Birr mobile wallet service empowers users to transfer money and make payments anytime, anywhere. The DCEO further emphasized that Wegagen’s E-Birr mobile wallet service will play a pivotal role in expanding the bank’s reach and enhancing financial inclusion.
