Over 250 Companies to Participate in Ethiopia’s Third Big 5 International Construction Exhibition

The Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure has announced that around 250 companies from 20 countries will showcase their products and services at the third Big 5 International Construction Exhibition, scheduled to take place from June 28 to 30 in Addis Ababa.

In a statement, Minister of Urban and Infrastructure, Ms. Chaltu Sani, highlighted the exhibition’s role in promoting innovation and knowledge exchange within Ethiopia’s growing construction sector. She emphasized the importance of research-based dialogue with stakeholders to address these gaps and enhance sectoral performance. She underscored the exhibition’s contribution in this regard, offering a platform for sharing global expertise and modern practices that can inform national policy.

Engineer Yonas Ayalew, Director General of the Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation, echoed these sentiments, stating that previous editions of the exhibition have advanced the adoption of new technologies and helped build sectoral capacity. This year’s focus will be on infrastructure development and aligning Ethiopia with global construction standards.

The event will not only host exhibitors but will also offer internationally accredited training sessions. Organizers have called on industry stakeholders to attend and engage in what is expected to be a transformative gathering for Ethiopia’s construction landscape.
