Explaining Ethiopia’s steadily growing revenue performance trend during the reform period, Revenue Minister Aynalem Nigussie stated that maximizing domestic income has been a major priority to facilitate development plans.

Recall that the government designed a new revenue strategy and took concrete measures to reform tax policy and improve tax administration, to enhance and strengthen revenue collection efforts.

Enhancing domestic revenue performance aligns with the improvement of infrastructures and overall development aspirations of the Ethiopian people, Minister Aynalem stated.

The minister noted that the revenue collection process has undergone numerous fundamental reforms in recent years.

These reforms have been leading to enhanced capacity for revenue generation, she pointed out.
