The Ministry of Revenues announced surpassing its collection target for the first ten months of the fiscal year. As of today, the Ministry has amassed over Birr 425 billion in taxes, exceeding the targeted amount by Birr 4.91 billion and representing an increase compared to the same period last year.
The Ministry’s full-year target is Birr 529 billion. Strategies implemented to enhance collection include taxpayer education campaigns, digital service expansion, and fair tax administration practices. April saw the highest monthly collection of over Birr 51 billion. The Ministry collected Birr 271.36 billion domestically and Birr 153.91 billion from foreign trade during the ten months.
