Japanese Companies Express Interest in Investing in Ethiopia

Japanese companies have expressed their interests to take the advantage of investment opportunities in Ethiopia with a special focus on the energy and cosmetics sectors.

In a recent meeting at the Ethiopian Embassy in Tokyo, Fiseha Yitagesu, CEO of the Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation, provided a detailed briefing on Ethiopia’s favorable investment climate to several Japanese companies.

The CEO outlined a comprehensive overview of the country’s investment opportunities, business environment, and the conditions that make Ethiopia an attractive destination for foreign investment.

He encouraged Japanese businesses to explore various investment avenues within the country.

Ambassador Daba Debele, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Japan, on his part elaborated the strong commitment to further strengthening the long-standing ties between the two nations, particularly in the areas of investment and trade.

During the meeting, Japanese companies have expressed their keen interest in expanding their investments into Ethiopia.

According to reports from the Ethiopian Embassy in Tokyo, the companies are particularly interested in exploring opportunities in Ethiopia’s energy and cosmetics sectors, among others.
