During a discussion between the Non-Resident Ambassador of Ethiopia to Hungary, Tsegab Kebebew, and members of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, efforts to enhance business connections between Ethiopia and Hungary were emphasized.
The Chairman of the African Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Kà roly Kovà s, expressed the Hungarian business community’s strong interest in strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
Ambassador Tsegab highlighted the five priority areas of the Ethiopian government open for investment, including agriculture, manufacturing, mining, tourism, and IT sectors.
Furthermore, the Chamber was urged to intensify its efforts in fostering business links between the two nations and to encourage Hungarian investors to explore opportunities in Ethiopia.
The participating companies, representing various industries such as IT, agriculture, and water management, expressed their readiness to establish new relationships or sustain existing partnerships with Ethiopia.
In response, the Chairman of the African Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce thanked the Ambassador for the briefing and indicated that Hungarian companies present would provide further information on continuing business relations.
Both sides also underscored the importance of enhancing Chamber-to-Chamber relations, promoting visits by business delegations, and supporting existing cooperation between Ethiopia and Hungary.
