Ethiopia’s Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide, met with his Qatari counterpart, Ali Bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, in which they discussed various topics including finance, development cooperation, and investment opportunities in both Ethiopia and Qatar.
During the meeting, Ahmed Shide provided a presentation outlining the changes in Ethiopia and the notable achievements that have been made.
He also highlighted the numerous investment opportunities available in his country, inviting Qatari companies and investors to take promising ventures.
As a result of their discussions, the two ministers agreed to collaborate on an institutional level and work together on regional and international platforms.
This cooperation is expected to foster stronger ties between the two nations and promote mutual understanding in various fields.
In addition, the ministers have agreed to send a technical team to Ethiopia to identify the general needs of the country and lay the groundwork for strengthening projects initiated by the Qatar Development Fund. According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Doha, this collaboration aims to create more opportunities for cooperation and foster a stronger partnership between the two nations.
Recall that the Ethiopian finance minister also conveyed Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s written message to the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani, regarding strengthening both countries’ bilateral relations.
