Ethiopian Airlines Group announced that it will launch flights to six new additional international destinations over the coming months.
Ethiopian Airlines Group Chief Commercial Officer, Lemma Yadecha underscored that the international destination of the airlines has been rapidly growing by purchasing new aircraft and expanding its services.
The international destinations of the airlines have now reached 136, he said, noting that new additional international destinations will be launched over the coming months.
The flight to Madrid, Spain will be inaugurated over the coming few days, he disclosed.
New flights to Freetown, Sierra Leone, Australia, Hanoi, Vietnam, Amsterdam, Holland, and North Africa will be followed over the coming months, he added.
Ethiopian Airlines is planning to increase its destination to 207 and the number of aircraft to 271 by Vision 2035, it is learned.
The strategic plan, according to ENA, aimed at maintaining and excelling its undisputed growth in the industry.
It is to be recalled that Ethiopian Airlines, the largest and leading aviation group in Africa, and its longstanding partner Boeing announced a few days ago that the carrier has agreed to order up to 67 jets.
The agreement, signed by Ethiopia’s national carrier at the Dubai Airshow, represents the largest-ever purchase of Boeing airplanes in African history.
The deal demonstrates a huge investment that will elevate the airline’s status to a new chapter, it was indicated.
