The Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) has reported a revenue of Birr 11.84 billion for the 2023/2024 fiscal year, surpassing its target of Birr 11.78 billion. The corporation’s profit before tax reached nearly Birr 1.4 billion, marking an 81% increase in revenue and a doubling of profit compared to the previous year.
ECWC CEO Yonas Ayalew presented the annual performance report, highlighting the corporation’s achievements in various sectors, including transport infrastructure, water infrastructure, building construction, and housing projects. ECWC is currently managing 85 construction projects valued at Birr 71 billion across Ethiopia and three branches in Djibouti.
Looking ahead, ECWC plans to expand further, aiming to establish branches in Kenya, Rwanda, Somaliland, South Sudan, and South Africa. Additionally, the corporation is eyeing international markets in the Middle East, Europe, and China to build partnerships and adopt advanced technologies.
