Ethiopian Airlines has temporarily halted services at its domestic terminal. Passengers flying to domestic destinations are directed to use the international terminal for their flights.
The airline released a statement explaining that at 12:30 PM today, a smoke-filled area was discovered in a temporary storage space for security-restricted items including cigarette lighters at the Bole International Airport Domestic Passenger Terminal. To ensure passenger safety, the terminal was closed and passengers are now required to obtain services at the international one.
The airline expressed its apologies for any inconvenience caused and confirmed that domestic terminal services are expected to resume tomorrow, February 6, 2025.
