Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it has launched new thrice-weekly passenger flights to Freetown, Sierra Leone, via Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso starting on, the 31st of May 2024.
In his opening remarks, the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfin Tasew, the launch of the Addis Ababa – Freetown flight service shows how the efforts to integrate the African continent through air transportation are strengthening from time to time.
The CEO added that the launch of the flight would further strengthen multifaceted relations between Ethiopia and Sierra Leone.
Harold Bundu Safa, Sierra Leone’s ambassador to Ethiopia, praised Ethiopian Airlines’ efforts to unite Africans by expanding its destinations to countries of the continent.
The route will be served by Ethiopian state-of-the-art Boeing B787 Dreamliner aircraft, it was learned.
