Ethiopian Airlines has been honored by the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), the African Union’s specialized agency for civil aviation, for its exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment, and significant contributions to African aviation.
The airline received recognition as the Airline with the most intra-Africa Routes during the triennium 2022–2024 at the 35th AFCAC Ordinary Plenary Session held in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.
Additionally, Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, Ethiopia’s main hub, was acknowledged as the Airport with the Highest Volume of intra-Africa traffic for the same period.
The AFCAC Plenary, convened once every three years as mandated by its constitution, serves as the supreme decision-making body of the African Civil Aviation Commission.
