ZamZam Bank, Ethiopia’s premier fully interest-free banking institution, has entered into a strategic partnership with Santim Pay. The agreement, signed today by officials from both organizations, aims to provide seamless and accessible payment solutions to customers across various sectors.
Under this collaboration, ZamZam Bank customers will now be able to make payments for goods and services using their mobile phones through the Santim Pay platform. This system will enable payments in diverse establishments such as health facilities, clothing stores, gift shops, electronics outlets, stationery stores, car accessories shops, jewelry stores, hotels, cafes, and many other service providers.
The service is expected to simplify transactions by allowing customers to pay instantly using their mobile phones, either by scanning QR codes distributed by Santim Pay at participating business centers or directly through the platform. Customers will also be able to make payments remotely, adding a layer of convenience and accessibility to the banking experience.
Santim Pay boasts over 8 million users who have completed at least one money transfer. The partnership seeks to expand financial inclusion and enhance digital payment options for Ethiopian consumers.
