Ethiopia’s healthcare industry is gearing up for a major showcase with the first-ever domestic medical resource production and innovation exhibition. The event, “Our Health is Our Products,” will be held from June 22nd to 27th, 2024.
The exhibition aims to boost the local medical equipment manufacturing sector. It will create a platform for businesses to connect, attract investment, and increase the market share of Ethiopian-made medical supplies. This is expected to reduce reliance on imports and strengthen the national economy. The government aims to raise the market share of local medications to 47%.
Over 150 manufacturers, from small businesses to established names, will showcase their products at the exhibition. This includes companies producing essential equipment, hygiene products, and diagnostic tools. The event is expected to draw participation from private and government entities and international development partners.
