Ethiopia will host the Ethiopian Technology Expo 2025 (ETEX 2025), an international event designed to foster discussions among African and global technology experts, startups, and policymakers.
The expo, set for May 16-18, 2025, at the Addis International Convention Center (AICC), is expected to attract 10,000 participants, including senior tech experts and officials from Europe and Asia.
The announcement was made by the Information Network Security Administration (INSA) and the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) during a joint briefing. INSA Director General Tigist Hamid emphasized that the event will highlight Ethiopia’s digital transformation efforts, showcasing the government’s significant investments in technology over the past five years.
ETEX 2025 will focus on cyber security, AI development, fintech, smart cities, and tech education. Over 100 local and international companies will showcase innovations, and 20 research papers will be presented. African government representatives will also address continental technological challenges.
