State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mesganu Arga held discussions with Ahmed bin Saleh bin Ayadah Al-Hamshi, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. The talks focused on increasing Saudi Arabia’s government and private sector involvement in investment and trade in Ethiopia, particularly in agricultural production.Moreover, the two sides deliberated on finalizing proposed agreements between the two countries.Ambassador Mesganu on the occasion emphasized the mutual benefits of enhancing cooperation in agricultural investment. The state minister highlighted Ethiopia’s geographic proximity to Saudi Arabia and the strong historical people-to-people ties as critical factors for strengthening collaboration.He further noted the growing interest of Saudi businessmen in importing Ethiopian livestock and expanding agricultural investments in Ethiopia.
