The Oromia State Culture and Tourism Bureau has announced its preparations for the inaugural “Irreechaa Expo 2024,” set to be held at the Addis Ababa Bazar and Exhibition Center from September 28 to October 4, 2024.
Deputy Head of the Bureau, Derara Tuluma, revealed that the event, organized in collaboration with Hagere Event and Promotion, aims to highlight Oromia’s rich cultural heritage while creating economic opportunities. The expo is expected to attract over 200,000 attendees and more than 250 trade associations, with an estimated 10 million people joining the Irreechaa celebration.
The event will provide a platform for traditional artisans, entrepreneurs, and various sectors to showcase their products. In addition to economic activities, the expo will feature cultural exhibitions, traditional music and dance performances, and workshops, promoting unity and enhancing Oromia’s cultural image.
