Lemi National Cement has emerged as a major player in Ethiopia’s cement industry, producing up to 15,000 tons of cement daily at its factory, located near the town of Lemi in Ensaro district, Amhara region.
Since reaching full production in September, the factory has supplied over 12 million quintals of cement to the market in just six months. Officials report that the factory’s output now accounts for more than 38% of Ethiopia’s cement market.
In addition to its industrial contributions, the factory is supporting community development initiatives, including student support programs and home renovations in surrounding areas. Looking ahead, the company is preparing to enter the gypsum production sector.
