Haile Hotels & Resorts Group has officially inaugurated its 10th resort in Jimma, marking another step in its ongoing expansion across Ethiopia’s major tourist destinations. The Jimma-Haile Resort follows the opening of a similar property just 11 months ago.
At the inauguration, Haile Gebreselassie, CEO of Haile and Alem International Plc., the parent company of Haile Hotels & Resorts, emphasized the company’s dedication to upgrading existing resorts and developing new ones. “Navigating challenges such as security threats, we remain committed to investing in the hotel industry,” said Haile, the famed athlete turned businessman.
Haile also highlighted the critical role of government support, particularly in infrastructure development. “Improving road networks connecting towns and cities is essential to making tourist destinations, like Jimma, more accessible,” he added.
The new resort, completed in just two years at a cost of Birr 1.7 billion, features over 106 guest rooms and exclusive houses. It offers stunning views of nearby attractions like the Saka Waterfall and Aba Jiffar Palace.
