Ethiopia: Enkopa Summit Rescheduled to 2025 amid Foreign Exchange Reform Concerns

The Enkopa Summit Organizing Committee has announced the postponement of the annual event, which was originally slated for this year.

In light of ongoing economic challenges, particularly following the recent foreign exchange reforms implemented on July 29th, the committee has made the difficult decision to reschedule the summit for October 9 and 10, 2025.

“Although many were very much looking forward to actively participating in the Summit, we understand that some of our partners are going through an uncertain period due to the Fx reform which became effective on July 29th,” the statement read. “While it won’t be possible to host this event in 2024, we’re happy to share the dates for next year: please mark your calendar for October 9 and 10, 2025.”

The Enkopa Summit is a crucial event for industry and ecosystem stakeholders in Ethiopia. It provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and discussions on key economic and business issues.
