The Debre Birhan City Administration announced that investment licenses have been granted to developers who registered a combined capital of Birr 10 billion during the past quarter.
The town’s Mayor, Bedlu Wubshet, highlighted the city’s efforts to position itself as a premier destination for investment and tourism, leveraging its favorable conditions and vast development potential.
To facilitate investment, the Mayor emphasized the implementation of efficient service delivery and streamlined procedures. He noted that progress has been made in infrastructure development and resource allocation to support investors. In the last quarter, eight major projects have become operational, while over 100 additional projects are under construction. The investment initiatives span diverse fields, including manufacturing, animal breeding, dairy farming, and poultry production, with encouraging results.
The newly operational projects have created employment opportunities for more than 15,000 people.
