Dashen Bank has unveiled the first-ever “Super App” in Ethiopia’s banking sector which offers a wide range of services through a single platform.
The newly launched Dashen Bank Super App combines multiple banking and business services, providing a modern, customer-centric experience. Asfaw Alemu, CEO of Dashen Bank, highlighted that the app aligns with the bank’s vision to deliver reliable, efficient, and high-quality services to customers across various sectors. He described the app as a “new chapter in the digital banking sector” that caters to both personal accounts and business institutions.
Among the key features, the Super App enables users to open accounts, transfer money instantly, and access loan services, including currency exchange. Additionally, it enhances customer verification, ensuring seamless and secure interactions.
A standout feature of the app is its inclusion of interest-free banking services in line with Sharia law, alongside traditional banking offerings. The app also opens opportunities for companies such as Amazon and Alibaba to sell products directly through the platform.
For enhanced user convenience, the app allows digital or virtual card issuance. Dashen Super App also supports payments and money transfers via QR codes, offering a smooth and efficient transaction experience.
Dashen Bank’s Super App also offers a range of lifestyle services, including the ability to purchase air tickets, watch local films on TeleTV, and access DSTV services.
