The Cooperative Bank of Oromia has launched over 200 “Smart” branches across various locations. These branches are designed to provide customers with seamless, paperless banking services using tablet technology developed exclusively for this purpose.
The new “Smart” branches will enable customers to digitally perform essential banking tasks, including deposits, withdrawals, and money transfers. This digital-first approach increases operational efficiency and aims to enhance convenience and customer satisfaction.
The launch ceremony for the new branches included notable attendees such as the CEO of the bank, Derbe Asfaw, and Deputy Governor of the National Bank, Solomon Sadha. The CEO highlighted the bank’s commitment to expanding its digital services, emphasizing that Cooperative Bank of Oromia, with a customer base exceeding 13 million, is focused on leading digital transformation.
