Ethiopia and China are holding a Trade and Investment Forum in Addis Ababa with the participation of government officials and business representatives of both countries.
Ethiopian State Minister for Industry, Hassen Mohammed, State Minister for Finance, Semereta Sewasew, Director General of the Middle East, Assia and Pacific at the Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Gebeyehu Ganga, leadership and members of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations and members of the delegation of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce are attending the forum.
The State Minister of Industry Hassan Mohamed said at the forum that Ethiopia and China have long-lasting trade and investment relations.
Trade and investment cooperation between the two countries has seen remarkable growth over the past decades as there is intensifying collaboration in industrial parks, agriculture, technology development, and other sectors, according to Hassen.
He emphasized the significance of the forum in strengthening ties between the two countries in trade and investment spheres for mutual benefits.
Head of the Chinese delegation and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Liu Wei, reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepen economic development cooperation with Ethiopia.
