Ethiopia: Bulbula Agro Industrial Park Welcomes New Investors as Oromia Expands Industrial Development

The Oromia Regional State Industrial Parks Development Corporation has announced that 10 investors will begin production at the Bulbula Integrated Agro Industrial Park by the end of the fiscal year.

The corporation also confirmed that the park’s infrastructure is now fully developed, allowing for large-scale investor engagement. Oromia Industrial Parks Development Corporation CEO Senait Mebre stated that the park was attracting investors engaged in processing various agricultural products for both domestic and international markets.

According to Senait, the industrial park has so far welcomed 43 investors and is providing the necessary support to help them transition into production. Among these, five have already begun pilot-stage production, while 10 more are expected to commence operations before the end of the fiscal year.

When fully operational, the park is projected to create job opportunities for up to 300,000 citizens. Currently, it has already provided employment for over a thousand workers. In an effort to facilitate investor operations, the park has recently established a service center to create a favorable business environment.

Additionally, six rural centers have been built to collect, sort, and partially process agricultural inputs before they reach the park for further production.
