Ethiopia and Pakistan Forge Investment Partnership

The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) signed an agreement to establish a consortium of companies in Ethiopia.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focuses on industries such as sports goods, sportswear, leather products, surgical instruments, gloves, and workwear.

The signing ceremony, witnessed by Ethiopian and Pakistani ambassadors, signifies a significant step towards stronger economic ties between the two nations. The MoU paves the way for joint ventures, boosting bilateral trade and fostering new investment opportunities.

EIC Commissioner Hanna Arayasellasie highlighted the country’s welcoming investment environment, with government support for foreign businesses. Sharing his enthusiasm, Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Malik, President of SCCI, called the MoU a crucial step for a deeper economic partnership.
