Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Ethiopia in Beijing, Ambassador Kedir Dewano, held a meeting with a delegation of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Working Committee led by Huang Zinan as the two sides explored ways to enhance cooperation in various areas of engagement.
The two have exchanged views on ways of promoting collaboration between Ethiopia and China in areas of trade, investment, and tourism, among others.
The Committee agreed with the embassy to facilitate a pre-investment tour for Chinese companies to explore opportunities in Ethiopia.
Furthermore, the Committee and the Embassy reached an agreement to organize promotional events that would help throw light on the potential Ethiopia has in the investment, trade, and tourism sectors.
According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing, joint efforts will be made to help Chinese companies participate in the “Made in Ethiopia” Bazar and Expo to take place in Addis Ababa from 9-15 May 2024.
