Sichuan Lihong Construction Group Co., Ltd., a Chinese construction, mineral exploration, and processing and mining machinery manufacturing firm has expressed strong interest in expanding its presence in Ethiopia.
The company’s desire to expand its businesses in the East African nation was disclosed during a meeting between the Chief Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission Zeleke Temesgen (PhD), and representatives of the company.
During the meeting, the EIC Chief Commissioner said that the government of Ethiopia is committed and always ready to provide all the necessary support for the private investment sector.
He also highlighted that Ethiopia is endowed with numerous investment opportunities in various sectors in which foreign companies can engage and make lucrative investments.
Chairman of Sichuan Lihong Construction Group, Mr. Li Shiming, on his part, expressed a strong interest in the Company in expanding its operation in Ethiopia.
He further stated that the Company’s engagement in Ethiopia will have of significant contribution to the mining industry and the dynamic private sector community, as per the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC).
