China’s Kun Huang Industrial Co. Ltd disclosed that it is planning to set up a household and sanitary appliances manufacturing plant in Ethiopia, according to the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC).
The Kun Huang Group’s keen interest was revealed during a meeting between the EIC leadership and the Group’s owners and their delegation.
During the discussion, Chief Commissioner of EIC Ms. Lelise Neme, and Deputy Commissioner Daniel Teressa briefed the Kun Huang Group’s delegation about investment opportunities and incentive packages, support, and facilitation that are provided by the Ethiopian government to foreign investors.
For their part, the Chinese delegates revealed that their company is aiming to set up the manufacturing plant inside CCCC Arerti Industrial Park to manufacture household and sanitary appliances.
It is learned that the company plans to invest more than 80 million USD in Ethiopia, EIC indicated.
