Arifpay Financial Technologies S.C. has introduced Arifpay 3.0, an innovative suite of products designed to meet the evolving needs of businesses and consumers in Ethiopia.
In his online remarks during the launching ceremony, the Board Chairperson of the company, Samuel Alemu, stated that the new solution would contribute to the ongoing national activities to revolutionize digital transactions across Ethiopia.
Amanuel Yohannes, Senior Manager of Growth and Operations at Arifpay Financial Technologies, highlighted the company’s significant contributions to expanding access to streamlined payment systems in Ethiopia since its inception in 2022. He explained that Arifpay has enhanced existing payment systems by introducing advanced technology, enabling merchants to accept international cards such as Google Pay and MasterCard. This innovation has provided foreign tourists and members of the Ethiopian diaspora community with a convenient way to make payments.
Notably, Arifpay has processed transactions exceeding 24 billion birr during the current Ethiopian fiscal year. Additionally, the company is set to introduce new solutions, including the Terminal Management System (TMS), announced Yohannes.
Arifpay’s latest product, Arif 3.9, features three transformative tools: Arif QR, Arif Merchant App, and TMS. According to Bethel Kassahun, Technological Team Leader at Arifpay, these solutions are designed to empower businesses, enhance customer experiences, and simplify transactions. Arif QR revolutionizes payment experiences with its simplicity, speed, and security, allowing customers to make payments via QR code scanning and providing contactless convenience in a post-pandemic world.
The Arif Terminal Management System (TMS) serves as a digital command center for businesses, providing total control over payment devices. Features like real-time monitoring, geofencing, and automatic reconciliation ensure smooth operations and secure transactions, making TMS an essential tool for businesses managing multiple terminals, it was stated during the launching event.
